YoInstagram has taken another step to continue boosting the effectiveness of partnerships between brands and content creators. The Meta social network will now allow testimonials to be included in partnership ads , seeking to foster trust with the target audience.
How testimonials work
Through the new testimonial option, the whatsapp number list with whom the brand collaborates can add a comment to a collaboration ad highlighting the benefits of the advertised product or service or sharing their experience using it. This comment will appear marked as "sponsored" and will occupy a prominent position.
Testimonials will have a 125-character limit and, of course, must be related to the brand's campaign. The creator simply needs to write the comment and send it to the brand, who will ensure it appears correctly in the appropriate ad. Only one testimonial may be included per collaboration ad .
Instagram notes that content creators must have a professional Instagram account to use collaboration ads and must meet Instagram's collaboration ad eligibility requirements. Advertisers , meanwhile, must have collaboration ad permissions set at the account or post level to use testimonials.
This is a simple way for creators to continue generating income through their advertising partnerships with companies on Instagram. The platform also highlights that " 40% of people use creator recommendations on Instagram when making purchases ." This data reinforces the effectiveness of using this type of collaboration when promoting products or services.
